If you believe that your child would benefit from an individualized learning program, The Heights Charter might be the perfect option for you and your family. The Heights Charter is a FREE kindergarten through 8th grade program new to Alpine for the 2012-2013 school year. It is an independent study setting that places each student's educational needs first and foremost. In this proven educational model, parents partner directly with classroom instructors to address students' strengths, weaknesses, interests, and passions in a way that creates life-long learners.
Diana Whyte, Director of The Heights Charter, has 20 years of successful implementation of this individualized education model with highly satisfied students and parents. Her students consistently score over 800 API and in one recent year scored the 5th highest in all of San Diego County.
“Excitement is building as we edge closer and closer to the start of the school year. I am thrilled to partner with so many involved and wonderful parents. Our staff is enthusiastic to teach and to get to know the strengths of all of our students,” said Director Diana Whyte.
The program and all curriculum materials are FREE. In addition to core curriculum, The Heights Charter experience will include extras such as journalism and Spanish instruction.
